Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using OnTheButton ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Nature of Service — Not a Gambling Operator

OnTheButton is a bookkeeping and record-keeping tool for private home poker games run by a "card room" (a club) that a host creates and administers. This Service:

• Does not facilitate wagering or gambling of any kind
• Does not process or transfer money between players for games — all buy-ins, cash-outs, and settlements happen directly between players, off-platform
• Does not take a rake, fee, or commission from any game
• Is not a gambling operator and does not hold a gambling license of any kind
• Is a private, invitation-only coordination tool — not open to the general public, and not a commercial gaming venue

You are solely responsible for ensuring your participation in home poker games complies with the applicable laws in your own jurisdiction. We make no representation about the legality of home poker in any specific location, and using the Service is not a substitute for your own diligence on local law.

Eligibility

To use this Service, you must:

• Have received an invitation, and where required a signup code, from an existing card room
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws in your own jurisdiction, including any minimum age or other eligibility requirements that apply to you where you live
• Not be prohibited from participating in social poker activities by law where you reside

Account Registration

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Depending on the card room you join, your account may require approval by a site administrator before it becomes active. We reserve the right to approve or reject any registration at our discretion.

User Conduct

You agree to use the Service in accordance with your card room's house rules and to:

• Treat all players and administrators with respect
• Honor your game commitments or cancel with appropriate notice
• Provide accurate buy-in and cashout information
• Settle financial transactions directly with other players, off-platform
• Not use the platform for any commercial gambling purpose
• Not attempt to manipulate or exploit the system
• Not harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Not violate any applicable laws or regulations

Financial Matters

Important: OnTheButton does not handle, process, or facilitate any transfer of money for games. We are purely a coordination and record-keeping platform.

• All buy-ins and cashouts are settled directly between players, off-platform
• We do not take any rake, fees, or commissions from games
• Financial records displayed are for informational, record-keeping purposes only
• You are responsible for settling your own debts and collecting owed amounts
• We are not liable for any financial disputes between players

A paid subscription tier, where offered, is billed by us (via Stripe) for access to the coordination software itself — it is never a fee on games, a rake, or a wagering charge of any kind.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, functionality, code, and content, is owned by [Company/registration details] and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our explicit permission.

Privacy and Data

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of information displayed
• Warranties regarding the security of your data

Limitation of Liability
